Frank Turner Download Festival Finale (by titantikal)

Frank Turner headlined the third stage on the last night at Download, and he was brilliant. This video shows the last ten minutes of his set and, for most of the people there, the last set of the festival.

You can totally see me in it when the filmer turns around — at 2:10, I’m the guy who’s a head taller than the people around me, wearing a black beanie, with my head tilted back.

Another aerial photograph from the Leicestershire Police’s Facebook page. You can see our tents in this one, especially Ste and Kelly’s massive light-green one.

The Download Festival Site (photo by the Leicestershire Police)
The Leicestershire Police come through with the aerial photography of the Download Festival on their Facebook page again. There are loads of them.
You can see where we were camped this year, right up against the little patch of woods.
I can remember the helicopter being around this spot on the Wednesday, a couple of hours after we arrived. Add in the fact that the campsites in the distance are only half-full, I reckon this photo was taken at around 3pm last Wednesday, a few hours after people started to arrive.

The King Blues — post-Download show photo
(Photo from the band’s Twitter)
If you ever get the chance to see The King Blues, I totally recommend it. They were brilliant. I wanted to see them anyway, but they were so much better than I expected.
I remember this photo being taken but I think I’m out of the shot, over to the left.
They seemed to enjoy it as well.

This is our attempt to recreate a group photo from the Download Festival two years ago.
Last year, only three of us went. This year, we had five. We were missing one person from two years ago but, because we had the genius idea to use the timer on the camera, we managed to get everyone in the photo.
(Please note how well we have aged in those two years.)
