Seeing Ronnie Bruce’s post has made me want to watch Band of Brothers again. I usually work through the series about once every six months.
This scene is one of the best of the series and also contains one of my favourite moments (which is right at the end of this six-minute clip), when Joe Toye nearly gets hit by a hand grenade twice within a few minutes.
His stunned, muttered, “fucking twice,” is something I always think of and quote whenever something ‘bad’ (e.g. getting stuck at traffic lights or letting a coffee go cold at my desk) happens to me a second time.
