I just watched Rescue Dawn for the first time tonight, and I tend to like every good film I’ve just seen a little bit more than I do in the long-run, but I think the scene at the end, when Dieter verifies himself on the chopper, is the second most emotional I’ve ever been during a film.

I don’t think anything will ever top the end of The Shawshank Redemption, which is the closest I’ve been to crying in 10 years, but this came close.
