I just heard Arrested Development’s Mr Wendal and realised that the lyric is
Mr Wendal, a man, a human in flesh
But not by law.
I always thought it was
Mr Wendal, a man, a human in flesh
But not for long,
like Mr Wendal was about to die because he was old and living on the street.
I think I prefer the actual lyric.
