I like how the dog follows the parents around, like he’s seen it all before.
Two guys raise and rescue a lion cub in London. It gets too big and they release it. What happens when they go back to check on it?(Via livejamie)
Christian the Lion: And people say I hate cats. The video does end pretty abruptly, though…
Sonic just scared me
I just kicked a hedgehog outside our house, but not on purpose. I heard a rustling and went to walk round the corner to investigate and my left foot hit something bristly.
I screamed “Fuck!” in a really manly, high-pitched way as I jumped away and then when I looked back, I could just make out this little ball of spines in the moonlight.
I went to take a photo with my phone but then realised that it was inside charging.
When I took a step closer, it took off and I realised that some hedgehogs might actually be as fast as Sonic. I always thought they were slow-moving, but this thing was fricking fast.

Tell me you’re not smiling right now.
Hacker and writer Joshua Klein is fascinated by crows. (Notice the gleam of intelligence in their little black eyes?) After a long amateur study of corvid behavior, he’s come up with an elegant machine that may form a new bond between animal and human.
I remember reading about the work he did, but to see him speak is really great.
I think this is my favourite TED Talk so far. Although there was one about Space travel and new photographs of a planet (I think it was Jupiter) that I saw a few months ago, where the lady giving the talk was so passionate and emotional that it gave me goosebumps, but I can’t find it on the site.
EPIC MOVIE 2 from Andrew Pile on Vimeo. (Via pile). The puppy’s look back at 26 seconds is great.
(Via riotrepublic)The laugh and the camera shake at the end make this even better.
These swans were huge! The one in the background seemed friendly enough but the one nearest to me was a mean son of a bitch and kept hissing and giving me the evil eye. I wanted to take a photo lower to the ground, but I figure it’s easier to run away from a standing position than a crouching one. This isn’t athletics.
This is seriously a photo of me as a kid standing beside a chimpanzee next to a swimming pool. It was taken in Spain somewhere in the early 80s. I don’t actually remember it.
