I wish I could remember where I got this from.
If you took a picture of the sun at the same time each day, would it remain in the same position? The answer is no, and the shape traced out by the sun over the course of a year is called an analemma. The sun’s apparent shift is caused by the Earth’s motion around the sun when combined with the tilt of the Earth’s rotation axis. The sun will appear at its highest point of the analemma during summer and at its lowest during winter. Analemmas created from different Earth latitudes would appear at least slightly different, as well as analemmas created at a different time each day. The analemma pictured here was built up by sun photographs taken from August 1998 through August 1999 from Ukraine.

I saw this graffiti in a car park I was in today.
Although I’m not sure who Moby is (surely no one can hate the Moby enough to write graffiti about it), I’m pretty sure whoever it was used the already dirty wall as the outline of the panda’s head. If they did, I love it.

Mates Of State - Halves And Have-Nots.
From their Our Constant Concern album, this just played on shuffle and reminded me how much I love it. It just puts me in a better mood every time I hear it.
I’m pretty sure it’s my favourite Mates Of State song. Either this or ‘Everyone Needs An Editor’, from My Solo Project (strangely, both songs are track 9 on their respective albums) but this came up on shuffle, so it gets the nod for now.
